The word 'lunatic' is derived from the idea that a person is driven mad by the moon, which is the source of the famous mythical werewolf. It is apparent in science that the moon greatly influences the earth (lunar calendars, tidal changes, etc), and so it is an important icon.
I'm not driven mad by the moon as much as I'm inspired by it. It was a clear night last week, and so I took the time to take a few shots of just the moon.

Very well done. The moon isn't 1/10 as easy to shoot as many people would assume it to be. One's first efforts at it usually tend to be rather humbling.

@Mike Cash: It took me a few tries to get the detail. The camera's meter kept telling me to shoot longer, but it resulted in a glowing moon. So I sped up the shutter speed a couple of times until it was satisfactory.
This is great Alex. Totally echo Mike's comment. I've been trying to get a good shot of the moon since I bought my EOS and it's been nothing but a resounding failure every time! Having been sneaky and checked your exif data however I'm going to give it another go ;-)
