Old and New

The structure at the top of the image is built with a traditional Korean design. I particularly like the style of the roof. Surrounding it are symbols of modern-day life - Paved roads and street lights.

I'm glad to hear such nice things about this photo. I took three shots of it from varying distances, and this one came out the best. It was a rather boring shot in color, so I switched it over to black and white and I liked how "raw" it felt. I'll have to consider finding more places like this to take pictures of, since I'm getting such wonderful feedback on it. Thank you very much!

beautiful! breathtaking shot.. im not sure but there seems to be faint vignetting at the corners of the image, quite strange for D40, or was it post-processed? however, it works wonders in the image, so, hooray! =)

@simon: I added the vignette post processing. My D40 rarely vignettes.
