i have been there with my 2,5" lcd from my dsc-W1... it hurts i know. well, if there's one excuse to buy a cheap second hand (400$) DSLR this would be it. hehe :D
My nephew came to visit from Japan last Autumn. He's 5. Cameras and 5-year-olds do not mingle nicely. It's my old point-and-shoot, so it wasn't a big loss. I have my D40 now, so everything worked out nicely.
